2016 International V8 Supercars Championship
The 2016 International V8 Supercars Championship will be an FIA-sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It will be the eighteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the twentieth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title.
It will be the final season contested exclusively by the current generation of V8-powered, four-door cars, with a new set of regulations to be introduced in 2017 that will allow cars cars of different body and engine configurations to compete.
==Signed teams and drivers==
26 entries have been received for the 2016 season. Holden, Nissan and Volvo will all represented by factory-backed teams.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Single-year extension for Nissan V8 program )〕 Ford, having scaled back its involvement in 2015, will provide no financial or technical assistance, but will still be represented by Prodrive Racing Australia〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Prodrive takes up two-year Mostert contract )〕 and DJR Team Penske.
The following drivers are currently under contract for 2016.
